Hydropool was established in 1970 as a commercial swimming pool company and in the late 70's began distributing hot tubs.
Signaling its commitment to the hot tub industry in North America and Europe, Hydropool began manufacturing its own tubs in
the early 1980's. David Jackson joined the company as President in the mid 90's after developing his career at a large
consumer products company. Over the past 10 years David Jackson has continued to focus on the residential hot tub business
which has been benefiting from positive demographic and social trends.
The global hot tub industry is very fragmented with over 100 manufacturers in North America. Realizing that success in this
industry is directly related to the strength of the distribution channel, David Jackson took the steps necessary to ensure
that Hydropool retailers had the tools needed to dominate their local markets. This plan included the recent launch of a
branding strategy complete with a centralized electronic depot for communicating with retailers and providing them with
professionally developed sales and marketing tools. To support this and other growth initiatives David Jackson sought a
financial partner with the resources and experience to help guide Hydropool through periods of change and rapid growth.
