Tribal Sportswear was established in Montreal in the 1970's. Profitable since inception, the family run company has
continuously grown while maintaining its reputation for quality, fit, fashion and value-priced contemporary women's
apparel.
In the late 90's, based on the popularity of its Tribal branded pant, Tribal broadened its product assortment to include a
full range of tops and bottoms for each spring and fall season. Based on this success, Tribal management determined that
significant future growth existed through further expansion of the company's brand and penetration into the North American
independent channel. To execute on this strategy, Tribal sought a partner with industry knowledge and experience in
managing high growth while also transitioning from family run to professionally managed organizations.
Kilmer works closely with Peter Berall and the senior management team in developing a strategy to grow the Tribal brand
while further leveraging the company's design and global sourcing capabilities. As a means to accelerate its organic growth,
Tribal is also searching for potential complementary acquisitions.
